Tesla Coil – Doctor Who Theme Song
This Tesla Coil demonstration is freakin’ amazing! This guy straight up gets into this neon covered suit and starts bringing the THUNDER! lol
Nah but seriously, this was seriously amazing. I guess this dude got a deal with Americas Got Talent too, and rightfully so, he blows some minds.
He does the gig to the Doctor Who Theme Song and I guess he calls himself Ark Attack, which, if you know anything about building Tesla coils, is a really cool and unique name.
Another cool thing that people don’t really know about Tesla Coils is that the current is actually non-lethal. Meaning you can get shocked by this sucker and actually survive.
In fact, Nikola Tesla himself claimed that it had healing properties. There was a time where Telsa had been hit by a car and instead of going to a hospital, he just went into this hotel room and used the Tesla Coil on himself to heal his injuries in about 1/4th the time it would have taken in a traditional hospital.

How To Build A Tesla Coil
Not many people know exactly how to build a Tesla coil because it can be quite difficult if you don’t have a full set of directions. That’s why in this post I am going to give you some of the best advice you will ever receive about building a Tesla coil.
You see, when most people try to make a Tesla coil, they ultimately fall short because of a few main reasons. It can be due to a number of things but what I am going to do here is outline the 3 most common mistakes that people make when building a Telsa coil.
#1 – Don’t Have The Right Parts: It’s very important that you get everything you need right the first time and follow your materials list exactly as you see it. Luckily, it shouldn’t cost more than $100 bucks to get everything on the list.
#2 – Don’t Have A Good Understanding Of Electricity And Circuits: While you don’t have to be an electrician to understand how electricity works, it’s still important that you understand the basics, which if you don’t know anything will take you about 20 minutes to grasp. Most of the products that I recommend come with electrical study guides to help you understand the flow of electricity.
#3 – Don’t Wind The Secondary Coil Tight Enough: This is another huge mistake that people make when building a Tesla coil because often times they are in a hurry to get it done and don’t realize that how tight you wind the secondary coil depends on how well your Tesla coil conducts a current. Spend a good hour or more, depending on the size of the Tesla coil your building and do it right the first time.
If you can avoid those 3 biggest mistakes, you should be fine when you finally decide to build a Tesla coil, you will most likely have success. It truly amazes me that people try to build Tesla coils without the proper plans. When you have a blueprint sitting in front of you, that goes into extensive detail about how Tesla coils are built, you will be able to get the job done so much faster and easier.

Homemade Tesla Coil – Tesla Coil Design
Building a homemade Tesla Coil has become quite popular lately due to the rising costs of utility costs. Many people are seeking out other ways to produce renewable energy, the cool thing is, Tesla had already perfected this technique many years ago but was shut down due to lack of funding so the devices never got a chance to get domesticated, if you will.
But times have changes and the Tesla Coil design has now become widely popular because of it going viral on the Internet and YouTube. You could literally find the basic plans to building a homemade Tesla Coil just by watching a few YouTube videos or by investigating the Tesla Coil Plans page right there on this site.
With one Tesla Coil, you could power your entire house, if you wanted to. To do this, you would obviously need a medium to large sized Tesla Coil, obviously it would depend on the size of your house as well. But assuming you have an average size home, you should be able to power your entire house with one medium sized homemade Tesla Coil.
There are actually a few different Tesla Coil designs that you have to choose from, the most common design you’ll see is probably the one with the big red secondary coil in the middle with the primary coil spiraling upwards made out of copper tubing. The reason we use copper is because its a great conductor of electricity, but the copper coil does not have to be in an upward spiral like fashion, you can also have the primary coil spiral out in a 2D fashion, even with the surface of the base of the Tesla Coil design.
Another way to differentiate your Tesla Coil design is to change the size of the Top Load. This is the part of the Tesla Coil that actually emits the spark. We’ve found that the bigger the top load the bigger and longer the spark will be. With a big top load, about 12″ in circumference, will results in about 1 foot long sparks. This also helps to increase the output of the charge for longer distances, thus being able to power your house at a longer distance.
So as you can see, the Tesla Coils come in all kinds of different shapes and sizes. What Is A Tesla Generator?
A Tesla Generator is a type of energy machine that was first pioneered by Nikola Tesla in the early 1900s that has the capability to create MASSIVE amounts of free energy that you can harness to power your home or other electronic devices.
Tesla’s ultimate vision was to have these Tesla Generators all over the planet broadcasting electricity, like a television or radio station into the atmosphere. What Tesla was attempting to do was to use the conductivity of the air or the ground to carry the electrical current. And what’s awesome is that we already know this works because if you simply put enough voltage into the air, you’ll get an arc across it. You see that all the time in a florescent light bulb.
So instead of having all these nasty looking power lines all over the place, you would just send the energy into the air with a Tesla coil and then pick up the wireless signal at a way point or receiver of some kind.
And while this ingenious idea was actually built and successfully tested during Tesla’s lifetime, it was cut short after all of his funding was cut due to his investors being scared that this new device could put them out of business, and with good reason, because it sure would have.
Some people actually believe that Tesla was trying to recreate some kind of ancient power system technology based on the use of sending electrical currents through the water, ground and air. This was believed to have been done using giant, monolithic 100% granite crystal Obelisks.
And what was so unique about these Obelisks they were actually cut to such a unique size and shape and actually tuned to match the Earths magnetic frequency, like a Tuning Fork.
But the question still remains, could these giant granite Obelisks really send electricity into the atmosphere and if so, how as this electricity generated?
Each one of these obelisks would have required some kind of generating power system, like what we use today. Electricity is created by rotating magnetic fields, or in other words, rotating magnetic fields generate AC power. In fact, the very first power station was built by Nikola Tesla at Niagara falls.
Now in order for this to work, you’ve got to have some kind of power spinning the magnetic fields and in this case it would be water. So each obelisk would have to have had a power station like the one Tesla built at Niagara falls. This would make the obelisk generate its own power but the obelisk itself is then putting the power straight into the atmosphere, making it usable.
So there you have it. An incredible power system that may have been used by ancient man. And even Tesla’s generator itself swiftly became classified government information after his death in 1943 only now has it become declassified and widely available to the public. The Tesla coil design is quite brilliant and VERY easy to make. You can actually get all the Tesla coil parts you need to make your own for less than $100 bucks from your local hardware store or if you really don’t want to hassle building one yourself you can just buy a Tesla coil yourself from one of the many online stores that offer them.
However, I do recommend you learn how to build your own because it simply keeps you in control and makes it easier to enhance when you want to tinker with it. If you were to buy it from the store, its already put together a certain way and there’s not a whole lot you can do to it. Most stores actually put a voltage cap on the damn things making it hard to get any real juice out of them.
I don’t know about you, but I want to fry some circuits with my Tesla coil, and to do it right, I’m going to build it myself.

After Nikola Tesla’s death in 1943 many people tried to build a Tesla coil in an effort to power their homes, generate tons of free electricity and ultimately get off the grid.
But before we get into exactly how to build a Tesla coil I want to teach you little bit of history about Tesla so you can better understand the Tesla generator and therefore be able to create one yourself with ease.
You see, Tesla was not only an inventor but an electrical engineer and mechanical engineer who’s fascination with the electromagnetism field led to many revolutionary discoveries of his time that are still considered to be amazing to this day.
Many scientists still don’t fully understand Tesla’s work, mostly because at the time of his most famous invention, the Tesla coil, many big corporations at the time (and still to some degree today) felt threatened when he claimed he could generate energy from virtually anywhere in the world as long as you had a homemade Tesla coil with you.
As you could imagine, the big boys wanted to protect their bank accounts. This lead to them cutting the funding for any of Nikola Tesla’s future products and thus making it so that he could not put his ideas into action.
After his death (1943) the US government sought to conceal much of his work and research, making it classified information, 100% unavailable to the public. Tesla’s family felt that this was a HUGE injustice and fought to have his work display in what’s now known as the Tesla museum.
Only recently have you begun seeing Tesla Coils and Tesla Generators becoming popular among your everyday household. It’s been over 100 years since Tesla first released the Tesla coil design, and now it has finally resurfaced thanks to new technologies like the Internet and YouTube.
